Extension attached to Warehouse. The library occupies the ground floor at the south end of the extension, with a local history room. The Warehouse can be accessed through the library on occasions, but if Derbyshire County Council library staff are not able to supervise this, the main entrances will be used. A management office or store in the northwest corner of the existing building provides service accommodation for the Warehouse (possibly including public toilets). At the north end of the extension on the ground floor is a self-contained unit, assumed to be commercial (bike hire or office) but could be a community room. The northeast corner of the Warehouse is a cafe as before, but now with the potential to extend into the main Warehouse as well as into the 'tunnel'. The upper floor of the extension and of the Warehouse is office space, lettable as three separate suites or to a single user, with shared kitchen and wcs in either case. One entrance and stair/lift serves all three units, at the north end of the extension.
